On the train

On the light rail this evening I met a really nice couple that were departing for Southeast Asia to go backpacking for a few months like I did. It was cool to reminisce about my trip, and share about my experience. I felt happy afterwards, and realized a deep conviction of my love and need to travel. In case they read this blog I just wanted to say, "thanks for bringin' back the memories. Have a great trip."
On another note, I was introduced by my friend Chris to a great new show called My Name is Earl. Hilarious. Thanks Chris.
This week went by fast. As I get closer to my wedding date it feels like time is going by faster; I think it's because I'm on the downhill side of my six-month waiting period. I've almost saved up enough to pay for the wedding. Big thanks to my friends who let me crash at their places so that I didn't have to drive all they way back to Grass Valley. :-)

Does Vernie share your passion for travel? Also, when is the "big date"? You guys getting married here in the states, or over there?

I know what it is like to have a passion that is buried in a day job. I will pray for the Lord to give you an opportunity to go back on the road, and you can pray for me to be able to be able to be more active in the local church.
