Working Man

Hello. Great news, I have a job. I didn't even have a chance to dig in and start the painful process of job searching. My former employer Jackson Lewis has hired me back as Office Services. the position opened up just at the right time. It is a part time job in the afternoon and i'll work about 25 hours a week. and they might even give me benefits. now i'll be looking for a part time job in the a.m. It's a big relief to be starting to save for my wedding events. i'm hoping to save enough to have a little extra cash left over for Vernie and i when we return to the U.S.

That is great news!!! Congrats Mateo. I am happy to hear that the searching is half over. So you'll be down in Sactown then in the afternoon. Will your carpool then in the morning with your buddy up in GV or go round 2 in the bus?

yeah!! thanks everybody.
unfortunately my GV friend quit jackson lewis to work closer to home. so i'm on my own unless i find someone to carpool with. i'm looking into public transportation as an alternative. right now i'm looking to work any hours before 12:30pm, mon.-Fri. and probably from now till May. any ideas? my first thought is Starbucks. it's something i've always wanted to do.

You would be great at Starbucks. They typically open very early from 4:30-5:00am typically. And it might be hard to get a stable shift every morning as you might have to work nights too. But who knows. I wonder if some other coffee shops would have openings though for a morning person. Naked Lounge? Java City? I'll definitely be coming in to see you if that is the case. And you have been given good espresso drink training already, so you'll be set. :)

Or you could find some rich people in the city who need a dog walker. :)

Don't forget Infusion on K & 17th - best coffee in Sacramento. Matt! - it would be really cool if you worked there 'cause it's right next door to my office.
